WHAT IS VALLEY VIEW EDUCATION FOUNDATION (VVEF)?

VVEF is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the needs of our students and staff and ensuring our students receive the quality education they deserve. 
 

WHO WE ARE

We are Valley View parents, just like you. Every year Foundation board members volunteer their time to raise funds that will help provide materials, programs, and technological improvements that promote the educational advancement of our students.
 

WHAT WE DO

We work closely with teachers to identify appropriate needs throughout the school, and in the classrooms. Contributions to VVEF from our school’s familles enrich our children’s experiences through some of their most formative years.
 

WHY WE DO IT

For our children! A lot of critical items are not covered by GUSD or the Department of Education. We work to fill in those gaps. These are some of the projects we have funded in the last year:

• To foster an environment that not only inspires learning, but inspires individual growth.
• To adapt our priorities to the ever changing needs of Valley View students, and keep our technology current and relevant.
• To carefully manage and maintain our funds to continue to uphold our Mission.
   

HOW DO WE DO IT?

Foundation’s annual Campaign for Excellence (CFE) raises funds for our school. We ask families to donate to CFE at the beginning of the school year so that we can access the funds to pay for critical needs throughout the school year. We understand every family has different resources, and it is not always easy to come up with a large amount of money at one time, so we also offer payment plans, to spread donation amounts over the course of the year. Every year we also sell Valley View t-shirts and hoodies to raise funds during CFE.
 

WANT TO JOIN THE TEAM?

Join the Foundation board and help us determine how our funds are spent! We meet once a month (on Zoom), and there are opportunities to help with fundraising, event planning, communications and marketing, teacher and staff connection, and more! OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP FOUNDATION

• Family & Friends – Spread the word about Campaign for Excellence to your family, extended family, and friends. They may want to help us and also benefit from a meaningful tax write off!  
• Employer Matching Gift Donations – When you donate to CFE, see if your employer will match your contribution! If there is a matching gift form they want you to complete we will gladly help to fill it out. Aren’t sure if your employer matches donations? Check this website. Many companies do and it can automatically double or triple your donation, which makes a massive difference to our goal.
• Ralphs Community Contributions program – If you are a Ralphs Rewards shopper, you can sign up for their Community Contributions program and select “Valley View Education Foundation” as your charity of choice, and we will earn donations when you shop! Log in to Ralphs.com and visit My Account/Community Contributions to sign up!

VVEF Tax ID# 95-4705459. It’s a WIN-WIN. Make a difference in your child’s education and write off your donation to the government. We will provide you with our Tax ID number for all monies/goods donated.
